Vyacheslav Petrov – winner of Cyber Super League Pari-Match
Basketball Federation of Ukraine together with the title sponsor TM "Parimatch" held the first cyber tour in the history of Ukraine among professional basketball players.
12 professional basketball players who play for the Ukrainian national team and Super League clubs Pari-Match took part in the competition. The competition took place on sony's Playstation console in the NBA 2k20 game. The winner of the competition was the center team of Ukraine and the capital "Kyiv-Baskett" – Vyacheslav Petrov.
On their way to the final, the participants of the cyber tour with NBA 2K20, overcame the group round, then went through the series to two victories in the quarterfinals and semifinals. The competition lasted for two weeks, and each of the finalists had to play about 10 matches.
Before the start of the competition, a draft was held, according to the results of which basketball players chose the NBA team to manage.
In the final series of cyberturn, Vyacheslav Petrov of Kyiv-Basquet overcame his one-club man, Yuri Kondrakov. The series proved very stressful. In the first two matches, gamers shared victories, and in the decisive third game of the series, Petrov, who performed with the Los Angeles Lakers, celebrated the victory at this tournament.
"The tournament is very interesting, I did not even wait somewhere for it, everything is quite gambling and stressful. Almost all matches seemed fairly even. In general, I want to thank the organizers. They gave us a great opportunity to spend a good time with the guys and live this quarantine more diversely. It was possible to dilute individual trainings with the tournament component," petrov said.
"Cyber Super League Pari-Match is the beginning of a new era in Ukrainian sport. Ukrainian basketball players showed a spectacular, bright game on the "cyber-package" and we are sure that after the resumption of the competition, we expect a hot season in real basketball", said Vadim Misyura, representative of TM Parimatch.
Third place in the first eSports basketball tournament – Cyber Super League Pari-Match was won by FC Zaporizhia defender Andriy Kozemiakin. In the series for bronze he overcame the defender of the national team of Ukraine and the Greek "Mits" – Alexander Lipovyi. Each of the prize-winners will receive prize money from the organizers for participation in the competition.
Parimatch has joined the fundraising platform UNITED24. The company has already provided significant financial assistance and is now joining media support, featuring world sport stars.
