Earn on Matchday
As part of the PM Education education project, Sports Talk Club experts detailed why it is important to attract a family audience to the stadium, how much money can be earned and how to minimize costs.
In a few years, the attendance of matches of Belarusian football club "Dynamo" (Brest) has increased from 1700 to 8500 people. According to the ex-general manager of the team Maxim Krasnobayev, this was largely due to the consistent work of the club with the fans and the expansion of the audience by spending the holidays in the stadium before each match.
"In the last year at each match we received a spinning of $20,000 net profit. At the same time, matchday employed 6-8 full-time employees and up to 30 people involved. Several thousand spectators came to the stadium a few hours before the game, so the club earned not only during the match, but throughout the day.
It is very important to inform the fans about what you will have going to happen. Provide them with hot food and cold beer, set photo zones so that viewers share bright and beautiful photos from your match. Matchday is a great opportunity not only to attract a new audience to the game, but also to increase the loyalty of viewers," said Maksym Krasnobaev.
"I have been analyzing the behavior of an American fan for a long time with the team," maxim Karpiy, the head of sportlab agency and organizer of the Z-Games, shared his experience. — We have a lot to learn from them from the point of view of leisure organization. If you invite not only fans to the stadium, but also a family audience, then in this way you immediately increase the attendance by 40-50%. In addition, you have the opportunity to work with sponsors from new categories: who are interested in children and girls.
In order for the sporting event to pay off and make a profit, it must take at least 5-6 hours. Then a person has the opportunity to quietly drink beer, eat, buy paraphernalia. chat with friends and have a good rest. The match itself is just one element of entertainment."
"I am sure that sport without fans is impossible. Teams play for spectators, and the task of clubs is to make every effort to return them to the stands after the cancellation of the quarantine. The Parimatch brand continues the PM Education project and hopes that the Ukrainian sports community will do everything possible to win the love and trust of fans again," said Vadim Misyura, a representative of Parimatch.
