Sports Talk Club opened in Ukraine
Within the framework of the PM education platform, parimatch brand together with Tribuna.com and Sports Talk Club presented a new expert platform for communication and exchange of experience of specialists of the sports industry of Ukraine with the involvement of international experts.
Today in Ukraine there is an acute shortage of programs for training sports managers. At the same time, modern sport feels stiff competition from both the entertainment industry and eSports. And this competition for the attention of the viewer is impossible to win, if you do not keep up with the times and do not learn from the best international examples.
"Within the PM education platform, we will support various projects aimed at developing the professional qualities of sports industry professionals. Sports Talk Club will be interesting for those who want to learn themselves and develop sports in the country. Already today, thanks to this project, you can watch lectures of sports international marketers for free," said Vadim Misyura, representative of TM Parimatch.
Within the framework of the first meeting, sports talk club participants discussed the topic of Digital in sports. Each of the four speakers emphasized the importance of working with data and drew attention to the need to involve a fan in a sporting event.
"Sports clubs often want to work with the old-style business models they understand and are afraid of new formats. But most often adventurers who are not afraid to experiment win," said Oscar Ugaz, lecturer at Real Madrid University and strategic agency Atomikal Marketing Digital.
"Sport is a religion and the fan is your God," Federico Winer, lecturer at Loughborough University UK, addressed the audience. — "Sport feels serious competition, as on average a person receives daily information about 6-7 events of an entertaining nature. And "selling sports" today is much more difficult than 50 years ago. Therefore, you should thoroughly know your fan, as the data about him is gold in the sport.
Stephan Peters, head of the German Sports Managers Association, showed the mechanisms for attracting students into the country's sporting life, and shared figures on the role of sport in the country's economy.
Dmytro Tribuna.com, author of the "Trendets" & YouTube channel, spoke in detail about when it makes sense to open a blog on Youtube, and when it is better to confine yourself to an Instagram account. A journalist on specific examples has shown what content is popular and what needs to be done to get a million views.
The presentation was also attended by the basketball player of the National team of Ukraine and "Kyiv-basketball" Maxim Pustozvonov, the owner of one of the most popular Instagram accounts among active athletes.
"I keep my account completely on my own, I spend about an hour a day on it. This is an important task for the development of basketball in the country, which allows you to attract fans, get a direct connection from them. Moreover, it brings me closer to fulfilling my dream — the opening of my own academy in Ukraine, following the example of sabonis school in Lithuania", – said Maksym Pustozvonov.
The next meeting of Sports Talk Club will take place in April.
