The UHL and the PM Foundation held an open “Training with a Star”
On January 24, in Kiev at the skating rink in the open air at the Office of the President of Ukraine in the winter town of “Nicholas receives friends” Ukrainian Hockey League together with the Parimatch Foundation and CYSS “Ldinka” held a traditional event “Training with a star.”
The general director of UHL, ex-player of NHL, KHL and the national team of Ukraine acted as mentors of “Training with a star”, there wereSergey Varlamov and three-time champion of Ukraine, ex-defender of the national team of Ukraine Oleg Polkovnikov.
In the first training in 2021, experienced hockey players held a master class for young representatives of CYSS “Ldinka”. During the training, young athletes were not only able to improve their skills of skating and stick ownership, but also learned the secrets of their professionals.
UHL General Director Sergei Varlamov spoke about the tradition of holding “Trainings with a star”:
– For several years in a row we have been holding such trainings and it is great that in 2021 we are starting with a master class on the skating rink in the open air. This prolongs the atmosphere of the holidays and gives a lot of positive emotions.
I think it’s better to show than to tell a lot. The children came here to ride and try it, and we helped them with that. This is a great motivation for the future generation to work and strive. And our task is to help our younger generation of hockey in this endeavor.
Young hockey players improved their stick and puck skills, learned the secrets of technique, as well as received a lot of positive emotions under the professional guidance of some of the best Ukrainian players.
President of the International Charitable Foundation Parimatch Foundation Katerina Beloruska spoke about the importance of holding such events:
– It is always nice to see happy children. I am very glad that we managed to make such a gift for them, to acquaint them with real hockey stars. The children spent the day outdoors playing sports, learned many new secrets of technique and received an incredible charge of positivity and motivation.
That’s why the Parimatch Foundation works. Such activities are simply necessary. That all children without exception had an opportunity to develop, to learn new things.
Thus, the future hockey players not only had a good time on the open rink, but also gained invaluable experience from the truly outstanding Ukrainian players.
