PM Football Battle: Italy vs. England, the culmination of Euro 2020

The most anticipated match of the year, the final of the European Championship, took place on July 11 at Wembley in London. Just as much as the players, the fans waited for this game from around the world, who divided into two camps. Some supported Italy, while others supported England.

And not everyone was ready to wait for the starting whistle to find out which of these teams is stronger. That’s why the most ardent fans and experts met in PM Football Battle to arrange not only a verbal altercation, but also to prove with the help of a quiz that they know the team they support the best.

For this purpose, the main festival of Ukraine, Atlas Weekend Friends Edition 2021, was chosen. Fans of Italy were represented by the strongest man on the planet and Ambassador of Parimatch, Oleksiy Novikov; ex-player of the national team of Ukraine, Eduard Tsykhmeystruk and a journalist Yurii Shevchenko . They were opposed by fans of England, a former player of the national team of Ukraine Oleh Venhlinskyi, singer Fozzy and a journalist Ivan Gromikov . The role of referee went to the host Ihor Tsyhanyk .

PM Football Battle started unusually and brightly. Oleksiy Novikov brought a huge soccer ball weighing 90 kg up the stairs to the makeshift studio in the open air, which disrupted the applause of the audience.

During the battle, the teams were arguing about which way from the national teams to the final was the most difficult and who played better. None of the experts wanted to give in and always found arguments to explain why their team is the strongest in this Euro. It was simply impossible to find the best team in the verbal confrontation, following the results of the quiz the victory was won by the fans of the Italian national team, but the viewers of the broadcast on Football Hub restored their balance and defined the final result as a draw.

Oleg Venhlinskyi was really determined to win and asked for an additional question to be able to win. But Ihor Tsyhanyk joked that he saw the formidable look of Oleksiy Novikov and is not ready to take such a risk.

After PM Football Battle, all participants and guests of the event went to watch the match with thousands of fans, who, thanks to Atlas Weekend and Parimatch, the first sports partner of the festival, happily combined two passions – music and football.
