Parimatch Ukraine and Khimik held an open training session for journalists in Yuzhny
Parimatch Ukraine together with the Khimik basketball club and the Basketball Federation of Ukraine implemented the “Training With A Star” project in Yuzhne. This is a unique format that provides an opportunity for sports journalists to feel the basketball drive “from the inside” and test their skills in the game with athletes.
“Khimik” players Oleksandr Ryabchuk, Vadym Kozak, Christian Jones and Deon Edwin not only took part in the training session with the media, but also played a friendly match in mixed teams.
Journalists also had the opportunity to talk informally with Khimik players and learn more about the team’s preparations for the upcoming matches and plans for the season.
Oleksandr Ryabchuk, a player of SC Khimik, shared his impressions of the training:
I am very pleased that Parimatch Ukraine is carrying out this project. For athletes it is an opportunity to meet journalists, show our training, to experience the atmosphere of the game. It was a lot of fun, I liked it, although our team lost to the opponent.
American basketball player of “Khimik” Christian Jones said that he had not even heard of such projects in the United States and it is a good opportunity to meet journalists and build relationships. The professional player even noted that he was sincerely surprised by the good basketball skills of the Ukrainian press.
Alyona Kobozeva, Communications Director of Parimatch Ukraine , emphasized the value of the project organized by the company:
The “Training With A Star” project of Parimatch Ukraine aims to develop communication between athletes and the media. During the training, journalists had the opportunity to communicate with basketball players, learn about their plans, support the team. After all, one thing is important for all of us – the development of sports in Ukraine.
The next traditional “Training with a Star” of Parimatch Ukraine will take place in the new 2022 in Kharkiv with the local basketball club “Kharkivski Sokoly”.
