One of the speakers of the event, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitization Vitaliy Lavrov said:
From the offline, the sports industry has largely gone online during the pandemic, because in all sports there is a choice between changing the scope of activities and changing the format of work. That is why the state paid close attention to this, starting to support Ukrainian sports startups.
For example, last year we managed to hold a Hackathon together with the Ukrainian Foundation of Startups, in which we received about 200 applications and selected 30 best ideas.
In any case, we are open to new ideas and ready to support startups that can help our sport.
Parimatch representative Vadim Misyura spoke about the traditions of holding Sport & Business Club:
Ukraine has an incredible sporting potential and Parimatch’s mission is to fully unleash it. That is why our company supports many projects in various sports.
Thanks to Sport & Business Club we get the opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle, increase the level of sports development and, most importantly, to unite patrons, managers and officials. Guests of our meetings always come with interesting cases, talk about their successes, interesting collaborations, share experiences. In this regard, the format of Sport & Business Club is simply invaluable.
UHL Executive Director Oleksiy Braga summed up the third meeting of Sport & Business Club, and also emphasised the importance of such exchange of experiences:
For the third time we are part of the Sport & Business Club project and each time we are increasingly convinced of the need for such an exchange of experiences. Yes, sport is not going through the easiest times now, but we are adapting and getting used to the new reality, multiplying our successes.
That’s why the Sport & Business Club was created, the exchange of cases, the search for new ideas and opportunities, as well as time spent in a pleasant atmosphere.
After the discussion panel, the match of the regular UHL championship Parimatch between “Kremenchuk” and “Bilyi Bars, as well as “Donbas” and “Mariupol” was reviewed.
