Time for new opportunities for the sports industry
Leading Ukrainian and international experts in the framework of pm education platform discussed the best examples of working with fans and sponsors during quarantine.
Despite the cancellation or postponement of almost all sports competitions, it is important to understand the main thing: sooner or later, but they will resume. How to survive the crisis and become stronger in the situation? This issue was devoted to the online conference Sports Talk Club, organized by the brand Parimatch with the support of Tribuna.com as part of the PM Education education platform.
Experts agreed that the key task at the moment is to help society cope with the situation formed, to hold events useful for the audience, to communicate honestly and frankly with sponsors and partners.
"This weekend LaLiga will hold an unusual music festival, which will be attended by both footballers of Spanish clubs and famous artists. Everyone will be at home, but at the same time the fans will get the opportunity to see and hear their idols," said Daniel Serehido, a representative of the Spanish LaLiga.
"Now it works best to attract fans through joint online meetings with athletes, eSports tournaments, non-standard ideas for joint film viewings. It should be understood that both large and small clubs were in the same situation. Therefore, now small teams can use exactly the same tools as top clubs, as all this can be implemented almost free of charge," said Bass Schnater, founder of the agency involving fans in sports.
"It is important for partners to support the sports industry in the current situation. Even more importantly , not to lose mass and children's sports. Despite all the difficulties, parimatch brand will be close to the sports industry of Ukraine and will do everything possible to support those projects that want to learn to exist in market conditions", – said Vadim Misyura, representative of parimatch brand.
"For any sports organization today it is necessary to have an action plan in any scenario. No one knows how long the quarantine will last, when the competition will resume and in what form. That is why we worked out 4 options for developments in advance and left a detailed plan for each of them," said Victoria Veremienko, Marketing Director of Run Ukraine.
"Be sure to talk to your partners and sponsors about the situation. Find solutions with them that will suit both sides. Everyone understands that you need to compromise. Do not be afraid to discuss and find out what your partners need in this situation," concluded Dmytro Chernytskyi, Head of Run Ukraine.
For more than two hours, the participants of the discussion shared their ideas and gave advice to the sports industry to overcome the crisis. The full recording of the broadcast is available at the following links:
