Unique special project on eSports — “Twelve” launched in Ukraine
This summer, a unique project “Twelve” was launched, which tells about 12 Ukrainians who have succeeded in eSports. The characters of stories are ordinary people, but each of them not only became a pioneer in the world of professional gaming, but also made a career. Stories reveal the eSports industry from within: readers will find out what future eSportsmen started with, what they refused for the sake of their dreams and how much time they spent training. The project was initiated by Parimatch , bookmaker No 1 in the world of eSports.
Bohdan Iceberg Vasylenko told in the first such story about his way into the world of gaming. At the age of 16, the boy was a candidate for the Masters of Sports in Boxing, and now he is a professional player in Dota 2.
“When I left the sport, I did not think about what I would earn. I was just looking for an occupation that would make my life interesting. I enjoyed the atmosphere and caught the moment. It’s not a fact that in two months I’ll continue to do this. All of a sudden, will I find myself in something else like it did with boxing? As long as it brings me emotions , I will play,”Bogdan said. Recent years have shown that the popularity of eSports continues to grow. This is also noted by representatives of classical sports, who not only follow the successes of their colleagues, but also often learn from them something new. These two industries rather do not compete, but more complement each other. The next hero “Twelve” will talk about its successes in early September.
