The Parimatch Foundation has set up a free rink near the President’s Office
The International Charitable Fund Parimatch Foundation continues to create conditions for barrier-free access to sports. For the second year in a row, at the holiday fair initiated by the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Foundation is installing a free skating rink that will allow all Kyivites and guests of the capital to join winter sports.
Everyone will be able to get on the rink, regardless of age and ability to skate. There will be regular inclusive training with a professional coach and athletes for children with special needs on the rink.
Vadym Misyura, director of the Parimatch Foundation in Ukraine, explains why the foundation decided to encourage children with special needs to do winter sports:
Skating is a great winter pastime that everyone should try. For the second year in a row, we are making skiing available to everyone at the Parimatch Foundation. We pay special attention to creating appropriate conditions for children with special needs and mental disorders. Groups for inclusive training have been organized for them on the rink. In this way, we break down barriers and stereotypes that winter sports are not available to children with special needs.
To promote active leisure, the Foundation will hold real shows on the rink with the participation of famous figure skaters. And hockey fans will be able to take part in the “Training with a Star” project and master classes from the players of the legendary Kyiv hockey club “Sokil”.
The rink was opened on December 17 at 6 p.m. At the opening, visitors saw a spectacular ice show from adults and young skaters.
Visiting the rink is available for everyone until February 14 . To learn about inclusive training announcements and workshops, subscribe to the page Parimatch Foundation Ukraine on Facebook.
