Open training for children with special needs was held in Kyiv
Shakhtar Social together with Parimatch Foundation held training for children with special needs on the field of Gymnasium A + in Kyiv on October 3. The event took place within the frameworks of social projects “Yes, I Can” and “Come on, Play!”.
On the eve of the match against “Desna”, the event was attended by FC Shakhtar defender Serhiy Kryvtsov. Shakhtar’s defender conducted football training for children, gave gifts, took pictures with everyone and handed out autographs.
“As a father of three, I am very happy about such activities. To see real, genuine emotions, happiness in the eyes of children is precious. Guys who deal with children every day do a great deed. I believe there should be more such events. This is a big plus for Shakhtar’s management to not close their eyes, but on the contrary to help people”, Serhiy Kryvtsov commented.
“Classes for children with mental and physical disabilities are held in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Poltava. Despite the quarantine restrictions, the groups continue to operate taking into account all the requirements of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. In total, each place employs 120 children.
“I am very glad that today we managed to hold this open training. We saw that such tool as sport works. At the beginning of our training, children often diverged, sought help from their parents, but now we see a strong unified football team. That is why by the end of the year we plan to launch this program in three more cities of Ukraine. Our program helps children to develop and socialize,” President of Parimatch Foundation Kateryna Biloruska said.
The next open workout session for children with special needs is taking place in November.
Within the framework of the initiative, more than 3,500 boys and girls have been given the opportunity to play football at all times. Those wishing to join trainings in inclusive groups can contact Shakhtar Social by e-mail email@example.com
