Parviz Nasibov wins silver in Greco-Roman wrestling at 2020 Olympics in Tokyo
Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestler Parviz Nasibov lost in the final of the Olympics in Tokyo in the category up to 67 kg. The Ukrainian in the final fight lost to Mohammad Reza Geraei – 1: 9 . Nasibov became a silver winner of the Games in Tokyo.
At the start of the tournament Nasibov defeated Fredrik Bjerrehuus from Denmark – 5: 1. In the quarterfinals he defeated the vice-champion of the world, the representative of the ROC, Artem Surkov. In the semifinals, Parviz defeated Ahmed El-Sayed Hegazi of Egypt in a tense fight – 7: 6.
I wanted to become a champion. I did not succeed. I let myself and my loved ones down a little, they believed in me. We will keep going because there is something we need to work at. This opponent showed me that there are athletes on a larger scale than me. I will work and come back stronger, – Parviz shared his emotions.
