Parimatch Ukraine brought together regional media and sports press services for the first PM Media Boost
An event of a new format took place in Kyiv on September 28 – the only legal Ukrainian betting company Parimatch Ukraine gathered representatives of regional media and press services of sports clubs to share experiences and establish cooperation. PM Media Boost gathered 60 participants from different regions of Ukraine.
CEO of Parimatch Ukraine Natalia Gilevich, as a representative of the organizers of the event expressed hope for the effectiveness of such a congress:
“Wearethe largest and most active investor in Ukrainian sports, partners of many Ukrainian clubs – football, basketball, hockey and futsal from different regions of Ukraine. Parimatch develops sports not only on a global level, but also locally, because it understands that big victories do not happen without small champions. Therefore, we hope that thanks to all of us, people will go to stadiums, become more active in sports and we will take sports in the regions to a new level – directly on the sports grounds, in the media and among the fans. “

Experts shared with colleagues what tools are best to use to promote a brand or personality, find informational reasons, how to write or tell interesting stories about sports, while maintaining journalistic standards and how to offer interesting projects to partners. PM Media Boost participants had the opportunity to work in groups and analyze practical cases to improve interaction with each other. Established connections will definitely help in the further work of the press and clubs.
Danilo Shchestyuk, Head of Web Content Production at 1 + 1 media from his own experience expressed why such forums are important and useful:
“We all know about the relationship between the press, the players and the press services of the clubs – they are often not perfect. Players refuse to be interviewed by journalists, press services do not invite them, or send “dry” press releases, journalists sin by personal acquaintances with athletes and information known to them. Events such as PM Media Boost are a good opportunity to talk openly about all this and choose common guidelines to move towards together. It is possible to do something really cool in Ukrainian sports only thanks to the movement of everyone in one direction ”.
The productive meeting ended with a joint trip to the Shakhtar Champions League match against Italian Inter. Another opportunity not only to see the high-level game live, but also the work of the Ukrainian top club from the inside – with journalists, fans, VIP guests.
