Director of NewRun, Maxim Krivenko spoke in more detail about the signing of the memorandum:
We have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with a representative of World Athletics in the field of road running. We not only strive to obtain the Label of World Atletics statuses. We want to bring to Ukraine the best practices of marathon training, to be the leaders of the modern club system of mass and professional sports, to create conditions for greater, non-budgetary monetization of processes in professional and mass sports. It’s not about profit, but about the professional responsibility of everyone, not just the budgetary parties. Running is about love! Love is the main driver of marathon development. We love it and want to give it to more Ukrainians!
The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Matviy Bidny. The event, which was supported by Parimatch Ukraine, was attended by representatives of the Ukrainian Athletic Federation, fitness expert of TV channel 1 + 1 and the author of the book “Delo v tele” Ksenia Litvinova, Mykola Datsyuk and professional runners and honored coaches of Ukraine who learned from Massimo’s experience. .
Parimatch Ukraine Communications Director Alyona Kobozeva explained why the company also decided to support the event:
Parimatch Ukraine is the main driver of sports development in Ukraine, which is why we strive to develop both professional and mass sports. Many marathons take place in Ukraine every year, in which many amateurs take part. Healthy lifestyle is becoming increasingly popular and our goal is to support these processes.
Massimo Magnani presented his master class for coaches and athletes “How to achieve results in sports”, told about his journey as a marathon runner, participant in the Olympic Games and coach of world athletes and answered questions from guests.
Massimo Magnani shared the prospects for the development of athletics in Ukraine:
Kyiv has all the components to hold a marathon-major. This marathon will be interesting both for European beginners and for those who have reached certain heights. Kyiv is a very interesting city in terms of culture, monuments, architecture and history. I was lucky enough to visit some tourist places, and I think there are a lot of opportunities.
Parimatch Ukraine continues to support Ukrainian sports at all levels and encourage people not only to cheer and watch it, but also to take an active part in the classes themselves. We are sure that a society strives for a healthy lifestyle just as strives for success!
These funds will be used to purchase 10,000 sets of military uniforms for border guards.
the International charity organization Parimatch Foundation financed the organization of sports camps for the physical and psychological rehabilitation of children affected by Russian military aggression in Ukraine.
The total cost of the help reached UAH 8.5 million.
