Hospital in Kalush received artificial ventilation apparatus from Parimatch Foundation
During the pandemic, doctors have already learned to recognize coronavirus and can treat the disease more effectively. But, as before, medical institutions need help and support. This is especially true for those areas most affected by COVID-19. This list includes Ivano-Frankivsk region, where 3,611,000 people have already fallen ill, and only 1,362 patients have recovered so far.
In addition, the situation in the country is complicated by other socio-economic problems that Ukraine will be able to overcome only by joint efforts of the state and socially responsible business and society.
Parimatch Foundation allocated UAH 10 million. for the needs of Ukrainian medical institutions. 13 pivotal hospitals in Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions received support. On July 22, the AHP300 artificial ventilation apparatus manufactured by Allied Healthcare Inc was delivered to the Central District Hospital of Kalush City and District Councils of Ivano-Frankivsk Region.
It should be noted that at the beginning of the quarantine for doctors of this medical institution and the central city clinical hospital of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, the foundation organized assistance and transfer of personal protective equipment — a total of 474 respirators, 1400 surgical gloves and 500 protective suits were transferred.
Ivan Krasiychuk, Chief Physician of the Central District Hospital of Kalush City and District Councils of Ivano-Frankivsk Region: "Recently, the situation with covid-19 disease has deteriorated somewhat. This is due to the safety of the population, non-compliance with basic rules. Some of the area's hospitals are overcrowded and patients are being transported to us from nearby areas. We can't even let people go on vacation because there's no one to replace them with. Of course, the whole team feels help, not only about the provision of the ventilator, everyone remembers when the protections were transferred, because these things are always not enough, they are used every day. This is of great moral importance for doctors who feel supported."
"This year, the whole world faced a serious test — COVID-19. Unfortunately, Ivano-Frankivsk region is at the forefront of the fight against the virus. And today it is our direct duty to help doctors and create decent conditions for the treatment of our citizens," commented Kateryna Belorussian, President of the Parimatch Foundation.
