FC Shakhtar Donetsk have gathered at PM HALL to find out the rivals in the Champions League

Today in Nyon there was a draw for the group stage of the Champions League, the most prestigious club competition in Europe.

The results of the draw are equally interesting for both fans and footballers. Shakhtar players, who will play in the group stage for the 15th time, are no exception. Traditionally, the main team, led by head coach Luis Castro, came together at PM Hall to watch the live broadcast of the draw, which took place with the support of the title partner of “Shakhtar” brand Parimatch.

Before the draw, the footballers briskly discussed who they would like to get into their group. Almost everyone converged on the fact that they would be interested in playing with one of the grands: Liverpool, Juventus, Bavaria or Real.

As a result, “Shakhtar” had to play just with “Real”, who more often held the Champions League trophy. From the third basket was taken a well-known Ukrainian team “Inter”, with whom the miners met in the semifinals of the Europa League in August this year. And from the fourth basket Fc Shakhtar got Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Judging by the reaction of footballers, the lot quite arranged them: each of the rivals players were greeted with a smile and blazing eyes. For Shakhtar’s mood on the eve of the start of the euro-season, you can not worry.

Luis Castro, head coach of Shakhtar: “This is the Champions League, it is not easy here. We got strong opponents and need to show a high level of play to get further into the playoffs. Some may say that we got the group of death, but I am sure that it will not be easy for anyone and everyone has a chance to fight for a ticket to a play-off.

Junior Moraes, Shakhtar striker: “It was very exciting to watch the draw at such an event with the team. Maybe outside I was calm, but inside the raging emotions, I literally felt how badly my heart was beating. I am satisfied with the result, I always want to play with tops, such matches are the most interesting.

Vadym Misyura, Parimatch representative: “The draw for the Champions League group round is a key sporting event of the autumn and we are pleased that our partner “FC Shakhtar” today is represented in this most prestigious tournament. The champion of Ukraine was in the quartet with real grands of world football, with which it will be prestigious to hold meetings on the field. This will be a spectacular euroseason for Shakhtar, and Parimatch will be pleased with the success of its key partner.

Let’s add that the first round will take place on October 20-21.
