CEO of Parimatch Ukraine Natalia Gilevych shared the secret of the work of such a large company, talked about the use of cloud services, the use of digitalization in sports and shared her predictions about the progress of technology in their business.
Technology is a service needed by the customer. It is about stability, safety, speed, quality and more. And today it is the consumer who dictates the requirements of which service he wants to receive. It is consumer demand that drives technology.
Sport as a business industry
The main actors in sports are the organizers and fans. Among them are brands, bookmakers and other companies. If, for example, athletes do not understand the value of social networks, the need to use them to communicate with the audience, the bookmaker does not make sense to stand there. Therefore, today it is the company that tells federations, leagues, clubs and athletes that it is necessary.
And if someone does not have the resources to implement such projects, Parimatch comes to the rescue. After all, this way you can get a long-term effect, not only for the company but also for society.
Migration to the clouds
The modern bookmaking business is thousands of transactions per second. In this regard, the company recently made a responsible decision to move the server to the cloud. The reasons are simple: saving money, reducing risk and stability. The bookmaker is tied to the number of events, which can be several thousand a day. And to meet all the requirements, we need to keep up with technology.
The growth of interest in women’s sports is natural. The fact is that men’s sports have already reached the peak of their popularity. And to scale the business, you need to expand the audience and this moment has come. There will be no more fans among men, but women, on the contrary, are only increasing their number as fans. In addition, the role of women has grown, she works, makes important decisions in the family, she is heard. Next season, women’s teams will appear in every UPL club in Ukraine. Women’s football is a new UEFA priority.
